(There is no scripture in the Bible that says the blood of Jesus washes away our sins.)
Rev 1:5
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
I Jn 1:7
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Acts 22:16
16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
(From the above information alone, we know that water (in baptism) washes away our sins but the Blood of Christ “washes from sin” or by definition “separates” us or “frees” us from sin by his sacrifice on the cross.)
(His Blood refers to his sacrifice.)
Heb 9:12
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Heb 9:26
26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
(There is no more sacrifice for sin, no “pleading the blood”, because Jesus of Nazareth has sacrificed himself once and for all. To have eternal salvation we must believe, repent and be baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ.)
Rom 6:3-7
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
(It was necessary for Jesus to die and shed his blood in order to take away the Old Testament and establish the New Testament.)
Heb 9:16
16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
Heb 9:22
22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
