ADULTERY AND THE SEVENTH COMMANDMENT

(Never before has the subject of sex been so discussed.  The young and old alike are so misinformed that divorce and illegitimate sex affairs are literally destroying the nations.  God has a Bible way and means of instruction for this problem of sex.  I will endeavor to give you Bible proof that God has a perfect and unchangeable law that will and does deliver the answer to the people of this and future generations.  God’s law served past generations well.  It also serves this present generation.  God does not change.)

The Bible Marriage Ceremony

(The Bible marriage ceremony from the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, to the modern day, is that precise moment when a man lays with a woman and knows her sexually.)

Gen 4:1

1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten  a man from the LORD.

Gen 24:67

67 And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and took Rebekah, and she became  his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.

The Seventh Commandment

Exod 20:14

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

(Today the seventh commandment, “Thou shalt not commit adultery”, is hardly recognized as a law of God or man.  Today there is a new name for adultery – pre-marital sex!  This is to tone down the true meaning of the sin, and ease the human mind to yield to it at will, or by force.  By the word force, I mean the pressure of social conquest by the male, one toward the other, and the social conquest of the female for popularity, the latter being the one that suffers the natural consequence.  The woman suffers the responsibility of bringing forth the illegitimate child and the care thereof.  The social degradation is another factor that is overlooked in this hour.  The birth control pill still does not do away with the social sin.  God does not hold those guiltless that commit adultery.  But He will and does forgive all who do so, when they repent and call upon the name of the Lord Jesus.)

Instruction To The Man

(In the teaching of the Word, I will endeavor to give you the instruction of God to the man, which is clearly defined in the scriptures.)

Prov 6:20-29

20 My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.

22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.

23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

24 To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.

25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.

26 For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.

27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?

28 Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?

29 So he that goeth in to his neighbour’s wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.

Prov 6:32-33

32 But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

33 A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.

(The end of a man that yields to temptation is a sure way to death and hell.)

Prov 12:4

4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

Prov 7:12-27

12 Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)

13 So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him,

14 I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.

15 Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.

16 I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt.

17 I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.

18 Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.

19 For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey:

20 He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed.

21 With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.

22 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;

23 Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.

24 Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.

25 Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.

26 For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.

27 Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

Prov 23:27

27 For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.

Prov 30:20

20 Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.

Prov 31:3

3 Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.

Prov 5:21-22

21 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.

22 His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.

The Bible Way For A Woman Is To Be Prudent And Virtuous

Prov 31:10-12

10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

Prov 31:25-28

25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

I Cor 6:18-20

18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

19 What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

I Cor 7:2-3

2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

Eph 5:21-25

21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Eph 5:28-31

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

(Today the same sex drive is evolving in the human race that caused God to destroy the human race in the days of Noah.)

Gen 6:1-3

1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

Gen 6:5-6

5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every  imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

Rom 1:18

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Rom 1:21-32

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable,  unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

(This writing is from the scripture and is God’s Word to the world concerning the sex problem.  There is much more to be said about it from the Bible, but his foregoing message is but a small part of God’s instruction and warning today.)
